It was also my first mother's day and these are the awesome cards I got :)

We are settling into a routine with Wyatt and finally having some semblance of a normal life. I can't believe he is already 6 weeks old and getting so big! :)

ONE MONTH!! :)

I can hardly believe that Wyatt is one month old today!! This month has definitely flown by. He is one month old which means mommy had to go back to her rotation today :( It was bittersweet because I know that starting this rotation means I am closer to finishing and closer to graduating. Raymond let me get sleep last night which was great and then I took the morning shift at 5am with Wyatt. I finally had to say goodbye at 7:30am and I have to admit I shed a few tears leaving my little guy.

BUT I made it through the day and was SO excited to come home to him! :) And Raymond of course. And since he is one month old today we had to take some pictures. (which he was not too fond of :)

Wyatt John

It has taken me awhile to find time to blog, but Wyatt John is here! :)

He arrived at 3:44pm on Sunday, April 1, 2012. He weighed 7 lbs 6 ounces and was 21 inches long. The delivery was relatively smooth, but his heart rate kept falling at random times (as opposed to with contractions) and the doctor and nurses were concerned. They put me on oxygen and came and turned me over every time his heart rate fell. We had been doing this for a few hours and I had not progressed past 5cm. I was beginning to think that we were headed to a c-section. At this point, Raymond came back from letting the dogs out and sat by my bed and started to read Exodus out loud (this is where he was in his read through the bible in a year reading plan). Raymond did this for an hour and during this hour, Wyatt's heart rate did not fall once. I also progressed from 5 to 9cm and we knew that I was not going to have to go to c-section. Praise God! Wyatt was born a little later and we found out that the cord was wrapped around his neck which caused the heart rate issues. We are so thankful that we did not have any further complications and he is a healthy boy :)

We have been home almost a week and it's hard to believe it's been that long! Time flies when you are taking care of a newborn. We have had our challenges, but so far we are both loving being parents.

Here are some pictures :)

Wyatt just after birth. He came out hungry :)

It was a long night of labor, but SO excited to have my baby in my arms!

First family picture :)

Going home in his onesie that is too big and his boots :)

Headed home :)

Meeting Diesel

Through all of this it was very evident that God was with us and watching over us. God is so good!

Countdown

The countdown has begun around here! 16 more days until the induction is scheduled, but we know that he could come at any time! I will be 37 weeks tomorrow! The bags are packed and I think I have like 3 lists going just to make sure that we don't forget anything if we have to leave in a hurry!

The plan is to pack up everything (including both dogs) in the truck and head to Yukon where Raymond will drop me off at the hospital to start checking in and everything. He will then take both dogs to the apartment in Yukon and come back to join me in labor :) My parents will then check on the dogs at the apartment until Wyatt arrives. After Wyatt gets here, Raymond will be able to leave the hospital to check on the dogs. It may sound a little crazy, but with the special circumstances with Diesel we didn't want to leave him in Weatherford or board him and Nellie is just spoiled :)

It kinda sounds like we have things figured out, but I am sure it will all fall apart and we will be making trips to the store or back to Weatherford to get things that we forgot, but that's okay because our little man will be making his arrival!

I hope to be posting pictures of Wyatt soon so keep your eyes open :) Pictures will probably make it to facebook first, but I promise to get them up here as soon as possible!

Last month!

I realized that I haven't posted in a month! Well we are definitely close now! Induction is scheduled for 3 weeks from Friday and it cannot get here soon enough! I am officially uncomfortable! I cannot sleep and I am always hot which does not help the sleeping situation.

We have our last baby shower on Sunday in Geronimo and then we will just be waiting on Wyatt to make his arrival :) It's hard to believe that the time is almost here, but we can't wait to meet our little one! :)

The picture upload thing isn't working so I will try to upload pictures from our showers in Lawton and Weatherford later!

Valentine's Day

My valentine's day this year was very different from all other years. I think it's my first taste of how things will be different as a mom. Raymond is off on the weekends which means he had to work today and we didn't think we would even get to see each other. But it turns out that they had an opening for our ultrasound today which meant that he would drive to Yukon to go to the ultrasound with me! :) So it worked out for the best!

Our little man decided not to cooperate, but we were not surprised. He has had an attitude the whole pregnancy and seems to do what he wants. He kicks the doppler off my belly at the doctor's office, moves almost all day, and spends most of his day pushed up against the outside of my belly. The ultrasound was no different. He was so close to the wall that it was hard to see him and he also would not take his hand away from his face. Even though he wasn't cooperating we managed to get a good look at his nose (which looks exactly like his daddy), lips (which are the perfect shape), hands, and feet. He is perfect! Seeing him makes it all so real! He will be here in 7 weeks!! He continues to measure right on time and should be a good sized baby :)

Enough of the typing, here are the pictures :)

The spiky stuff is apparently hair :)

Smiling :) Probably after he kicked me!

Needless to say this Valentine's day was one to remember. I didn't need flowers or chocolate because I was able to go with my husband to see our son! Lets me know that life is about to change, but I can't wait! We look forward to meeting Wyatt John Scott April 6 or before :)

More Pictures! :)

I realized that I hadn't posted a bump picture in a long time so here they are! I have really enjoyed taking this pictures and seeing how he is growing! I don't notice it as much because I see it every day, but it's neat to see how much he grows in just a week! Hard to believe that he will be here in about 9 weeks! :) We absolutely cannot wait! We also are doing a 4D ultrasound on Valentine's Day so we will get to see him one more time before he is here.

3rd Trimester

Finally there! When I first found out I was pregnant at 5 weeks, I thought I would NEVER make it to the third trimester! And I was so sick then it made the time pass extremely slowly, but I have made it!

Everyone told me that the third trimester is hard and how uncomfortable you are. I listened, but I couldn't imagine it because I felt so amazing in the second trimester! Well, it has hit! I am having trouble sleeping, my back hurts almost all day, and by the end of the day I feel huge and miserable. Oh and have I mentioned the heart burn? It's lovely. I take a Prilosec every morning and still end up needed 3-4 tums throughout the day. Awesome! And when the heartburn comes, my belly is so cramped I can't burp to make it better. Sorry for the details, but it's definitely not fun. I can't imagine where Wyatt is going to fit as he continues to grow these next 11 weeks!

I do have to say I prefer this to the sickness of the first trimester. And now I know that in 11 short weeks (or maybe less) I will be holding my baby in my arms and will forget about the long hard 9 months it took to get there!

I have my first baby shower in 2 weeks and then another one in 6 weeks. I am very excited to start getting the big things we need and actually start filling up that room! I also can't wait to spend some time with people I don't get to see as often anymore!

I am also down to 3 more rotations before graduation and it's a weird feeling. After going to school for 6 years, it's hard to imagine being done! Achieving my goal and not having to sit in another class again! We are very excited to reach this point and are looking forward to the next chapter! Timeline wise it looks like I will finish classes May 25 and we will be moving so that I can start work June 4. It looks like it's going to work out for us to buy my parent's land and manufactured home so we will be able to start moving into the house any time and won't have to move everything all at once which is a blessing! Raymond will be staying home with Wyatt, at least for awhile, and we plan to start building our cattle herd!

I think that's about all that is going on for now. About 80 more days until my due date and we cannot wait to meet our baby boy!

Nursery

I have gotten a little behind on blogging. We got the crib in right after Christmas and now have the nursery set up! :)

You can't see it, but the blanket on the end has "Wyatt John" embroidered in hunter green. :)

This is the dresser. I haven't taken any more pictures recently, but we switched the curtains out for navy blue ones.

Having the nursery set up makes us one step closer! I am 27 weeks, just 3 months to go!! :)
